Professionals explained to participants about the quality seal of Halal products, as well as transportation logistics
On the penultimate day of the ‘Islamic World’ course, the focus was on the Halal Certification process in the Brazilian production chain. The third module also emphasized the good origin, sustainability, and safety of Certified products.Parte superior do formulário
Maintaining the same online teaching format, the Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil – FAMBRAS, and the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) raised awareness among members of the national production sector regarding opportunities and international trade relations. The session included practical demonstrations in import and export, involving the profile of Muslim consumers – who currently number 1.9 billion.
In the order of presentation, the instructors were Elaine Carvalho, Quality Coordinator at FAMBRAS Halal, Ali Hussein El Zoghbi, Vice President of the FAMBRAS Group, and Flavio Redi, CEO and Co-founder of the Startup Ecotrace Solutions. Each conducted a class of approximately 40 minutes, and the traceability of Brazilian products with transparency across all links of the production chain was also among the content covered.
“It is essential to carefully consider the values of ESG (Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance) and ethical consumption, practices already well integrated into Islamic culture. For the Muslim consumer, it is necessary for both aspects to be in synergy and complement each other, especially within a sustainable agenda,” emphasized Ali Zoghbi, underscoring the community’s demands.
The 2023 edition of the “Islamic World” course has over 1,000 enrolled participants who are expected to record a minimum of 75% participation by the end of the modules for certificate issuance. The managers’ expectation is that Brazil will establish more commercial partnerships with the Arab-Islamic market after the completion of the course.
