FAMBRAS meets with the board of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Foundation in Dubai
Throughout 2023, the partnership between the entities provided more human dignity for thousands of Brazilians through health exams, food safety, among other initiatives.
The Presidency of the Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil — FAMBRAS met with the directors of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Foundation, a UAE-based entity that has carried out various social works, to review the actions undertaken last year (2023) on Brazilian soil. The meeting took place today (03) in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the meeting, the results of the following campaigns were presented, in chronological order: ‘Project Together for Everyone — Against Hunger’ in São Paulo – SP; Distribution of Meat (Together for Everyone) in Brasília – DF; Cataract Surgery in São Paulo – SP; Solidarity Action Together for Everyone in Brasília – DF; and the ‘Sewing a Better Life’ Project, also in São Paulo – SP.
In addition to the presented review, new ideas for future actions were discussed, aiming to assist families in situations of social vulnerability in Brazil. In the first quarter of 2024, FAMBRAS and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Foundation will carry out a social action in the Heliópolis community.
Present at the meeting, representing the Federation, were Vice President Ali Zoghbi and the Director of Programs and International Relations in the Humanitarian Sector, Ahmed Khalaf. On the other side of the table, the Director-General Saleh Zaher Al Mazrouie and the Director of the Humanitarian Aid Department, Mohamed Al Hamadi, both from the UAE entity.
The long-standing partnership between FAMBRAS and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation unites the humanitarian principles of the United Arab Emirates with the efforts that the Federation makes in the same direction in needy Brazilian communities.
