FAMBRAS receives a visit from the Ambassador of Egypt, Mrs. Mai Taha Khalil

On December 4th, the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil – FAMBRAS welcomed the distinguished visit of the Ambassador of Egypt, Mrs. Mai Taha Khalil, and Her Excellency Mrs. Nashwa Bakr, the Commercial Consul of Egypt in São Paulo, at its office. The meeting marked an important moment of dialogue and exchange of ideas between the organization and Egyptian diplomacy, strengthening the cultural and cooperative ties between Brazil and Egypt.
Present at the meeting were Mohamed Zoghbi, President of FAMBRAS; Ali Zoghbi, Vice President of FAMBRAS; Mohamed Charanek, Legal Director of FAMBRAS; Nazelie Bozian, Secretary of the Presidency of FAMBRAS; Mr. Bassel Abou Latif, Institutional Relations Advisor at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce; and His Excellency Mr. Bernardo Henrique Penha Brasil, Minister-Counselor at the Brazilian Embassy in Cairo.
During the visit, FAMBRAS’ institutional videos were presented, highlighting the organization’s various initiatives in the social, humanitarian, and religious fields. The ambassador was also introduced to the project “Nour and the Portal of History,” a series of three-dimensional animated films that narrate the contributions of Arab and Muslim scientists to the development of human civilization.
Furthermore, the discussions addressed potential future collaborations between FAMBRAS and the Egyptian Embassy, including the Ministry of Awqaf, particularly regarding the training and exchange of Sheikhs. This collaboration aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and religious experiences, contributing to the strengthening of Muslim communities in both Brazil and Egypt.
The visit reflects FAMBRAS’ ongoing commitment to fostering international partnerships and promoting the appreciation of Islamic culture and history, for the benefit of all communities.
