In Mauritania, FAMBRAS participates in the 36th International Conference on the Biography of the Prophet (S.W.A)

The Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil – FAMBRAS participated at the beginning of the week (24, 25, and 26) in the Annual International Conference on the Biography of the Prophet (S.W.A), held in the Republic of Mauritania. The central theme of the conference was ‘The role of scholars, Sheiks and religious leaders in reconciliation and strengthening Islamic connections between peoples and nations’. The Director of Religious Affairs of the Federation, Sheikh Sadiq Al-Othmani, contributed to the discussions.

The event explored the role of scholars in the Ummah (Islamic community) in addressing contemporary issues, such as disputes between nations, reconciliation, strengthening Islamic unity, and tackling extremism and radicalism. The conference featured various lectures and presentations focusing on two main subjects: “Islamic Solutions to Conflicts in Light of the Prophetic Tradition” and “Conflicts in Africa: Causes and Solutions”.

The conference emphasized that the Biography of the Prophet (S.W.A) illuminated the world with noble guidance and shaped human behavior with the essence of virtue. In other words, it served as a comprehensive guide to all virtues, including the values of moderation in words and actions, especially tolerance and forgiveness. Overall, guests from 55 countries across different continents participated in the conference, attended by Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic of Mauritania.

During the event, FAMBRAS representative Sheikh Sadiq Al-Othmani expressed gratitude to the national leader for his commitment to honoring the congress and its participants from different continents. He also conveyed respect and gratitude to His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, for his tireless efforts in serving Islam and Muslim minorities worldwide.

The conference was also marked by a gathering of participants to recite a prayer for the souls of the victims of the earthquake that struck areas of the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as the victims of floods and inundations in eastern Libya.
