Libyan Ambassador honored at event in the Federal Capital
The Embassy of the State of Libya held a celebratory dinner yesterday (29) in the federal capital, Brasilia, in the Federal District. The occasion was dedicated to the presentation of the Letters of Credence of the country’s new Ambassador, Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ayad Sawan, to the federal government. During the celebration, the Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil (FAMBRAS) presented a tribute plaque.
Osama Ibrahim Ayad Sawan presented the document to the guests, formalizing his role as the representative of the Libyan people in Brazilian lands. The Ambassador holds a Ph.D. in International Law and has extensive experience in politics, particularly in areas related to youth. A few years ago, he had already served in Brazil as the Chargé d’Affaires of another diplomatic representation.
By presenting the tribute plaque through its Director of International Relations, Nizar El Ghandour, FAMBRAS demonstrates its openness to dialogue and the formalization of partnerships.
